Eat healthy, without having to give up sugar

A poor diet full of excesses and bad choices inevitably leads to poor nutrition. That's why we need to be aware of the quality and quantity of the foods we eat, as well as how we supplement our diet with our lifestyle,  and the case agave syrup or other sugars consumption are no exception.

  • Eat balanced
A healthy diet must provide everything you need to meet our nutritional needs. Sugar, fats and proteins are part of a healthy diet and it is important to consume them ina balanced way according to the different stages of life our lifestyle and health
  • Know and care about portions
Excess is the problem. The World Health Organization (WHO) recommends that sugars should not contribute more than 10% of daily calories. That is, for a diet of 2,000 calories per day, a maximum of 50 grams of sugars is recommended, the equivalent of about 12 teaspoons of cane sugar or 17 teaspoons of agave syrup.
  • Exercise or practice a sport
Sugars provide energy in your physical activity, and by exercising regularly you can eliminate what your body doesn't need.
  • Choose natural sugars
If you are going to consume sugar, choose a quality sugar. Agave syrup is a natural sweetener that comes from the agave plant. Also, if the product is organic, you can be sure  that it was minimally processed from the plant to the packaging.
  • Pay attention and know the nutrition labels
Review the labels of the foods we are going to choose helps us validate the consistency of what the product communicates with what it actually contains. For example, we often believe that we are buying a natural  or healthy sweetener,  when in fact it is composed of synthetic substances, refined or with little nutritional value.
